The Iron Oak Monk

"Be religiously fervent in living life righteously as yourself, like a mighty oak of iron and a priestly soul of fire."

About the “Monk”

“Write drunk, edit sober.” - Ernest Hemingway

Kev, known as the “Devil of Mandeville” for his painfully honest rhetoric and social demeanor (among other things), is a writer/gun-culture guru from Louisiana with a better half that tends to make him behave as they prepare for marriage.

Writing extensively on “down-to-earth” matters as well as spiritual concerns, his poetry and fiction delves into the interactions of man and mind, ghost and science, history and present day: all while keeping to the humble world of rural life frequently depicted by poets like Walt Whitman and Robert Frost.  A collection of poems called Shades of Oak is currently in the works, awaiting publishing sometime in the future.
