Why are you so scared of something that kills less than 300 Americans ever year?   Because it feels right to be afraid of something scary that you don’t understand, right? Well, it’s this sort of thinking that leads to nothing useful being done. It’s in fact your sort of thinking that lead to Sandy Hook.  People don’t think rationally or logically when they are scared, and they often make the wrong choices. Unfortunately this has become a trend in this country, and very few people are willing to do actual research and look into the root causes of gun violence and these rare events called Mass Shootings. People pass feel good laws, like gun free zones or bans or certain aesthetic features of rifles. These do nothing, this is why the first Assault Weapons Ban was ended, it wasn’t doing anything. And crime has actually decreased quite a bit since it was ended. Sure people on facebook are ignorant, but be aware, you are among them.  Gosh, that outline looks scary. It must be a scary thing! I wonder if people would take this graphic as seriously if they used an outline of a rifle without the extra stuff that are added for extra convenience in use such as being able to hold it in a different way or being able to attach a strap so you can carry it on your shoulder. How frightening.
